Daniel Margolis
Daniel M. Margolis was born and raised in northeast Ohio.
He attended the Vermont Law School where he focused his studies
on criminal law and constitutional issues and graduated in 1996
as a member of the Dean's List. While in law school he was also
a member of the local volunteer fire department where he developed
an interest in arson investigation.
After
graduating law school he became an assistant county prosecutor with
Cuyahoga County. He started in the Appeals Division which is generally
considered to be the "brain trust" of the Prosecutor's
office. He was a founding member of the county's first Arson Prosecution
Unit, drawing upon his law school experience as a firefighter. He
also worked as a prosecutor in Cuyahoga Juvenile Court where he
prosecuted several high profile cases.
In
2000 Daniel entered private practice where he focuses on criminal
defense in all courts in Northern Ohio. He has defended clients,
adults and juveniles, in cases ranging from DUI to Arson and Murder.
Daniel is known to be an aggressive attorney who zealously advocates
on behalf of his clients.
Daniel
M. Margolis is a member of the NORML Legal Committee (National Organization
for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) and the NACDL (National Association
of Criminal Defense Lawyers). He is also a member of the Cleveland
Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. Daniel M. Margolis
is considered an authority on defending sex cases and high profile
cases in juvenile court. He is active as a speaker on legal issues,
having presented numerous Continuing Legal Education seminars in
the area is a regular guest speaker for juvenile law classes at
a local law school.
